Specimen: Volvox rousseletii, a type of algae, with embryos developing. Specimen consists of ~5000 cells arranged in a monolayer at the surface of the transparent sphere. About 10 embryos are inside. Each embryo turns itself inside out (inversion) at the end of its embryogenesis
Technique: Confocal and differential interference contrast microscopy
